进入游戏之后就要选择游戏角色和武器。
游戏共有三种角色可供选择：侠士、侠女和力士。然后是选择武器，《流星蝴蝶剑OL》是通过武器来选定游戏职业，而不是惯常概念的门派选定。目前游戏可选择“剑、刀、棍、匕首”四种武器，每个角色可选择其中三种。
