看起来Square Enix即将公布一款死亡赛车(Carmageddon)的新作，日前SE死亡赛车官网神秘上线一个倒计时，将游戏新作的公布指向10天之后的6月1日。恰好在E3开幕前夕。
这个追求车辆暴力打斗的游戏系列自2000年的《死亡赛车2000》之后再无新作问世，而原定在2005年发售的系列第四作也因故取消发售。
